للإفلاس التجاري أثر على التحويل المصرفي ، ولاشك أن إفلاس المستفيد من التحويل المصرفي له أثر أني وهو غل يد المستفيد المفلس كما يترتب على ذلك
عدة نتائج على التصرفات التي يبرمها المفلس.
ويراعى في ذلك الوقت الذي توقف فيه المستفيد المفلس عن الدفع ، ومنه تبدأ فترة الريبة وهي الفترة الواقعة بين تاريخ التوقف عن الدفع وحكم شهر الإفلاس. أما بالنسبة لمسؤولية المصرف عن إخلاله بإحدى التزاماته حيال العميل والمستفيد هي مسؤولية مدنية ، تكون عقدية حيال عملائه وتقصيرية حيال جماعة الدائنين وسبب ضررا لهؤلاء، سواء كان ذلك بسبب تأخر المصرف في
تنفيد التحويل المصرفي أو عن طريق الخطأ.
