يشكل الإرهاب ظاهرة إجرامية خطيرة بل يمكن القول بأنها آفة العصر المدمرة بكل ما تحمل الكلمة من معنى، لأنها تستهدف الاعتداء على المجتمعات الإنسانية قاطبة، وتتضح تلك الخطورة بجلاء من خلال ما يعتنقه الإرهابيون من فكر هدَّام؛ إذ يعتقدون أن فكرهم هو الصائب وبقية الأفكار الإنسانية ضالة، وعلية يعملون ليلاً ونهاراً للتخلص من كل ما يخالف فكرهم حتى لو تطلب ذلك تدمير الحضارة الإنسانية عن طريق إعمال إجرامية وحشية؛ فالمهم نشر فكرهم وإنشاء نظامهم المتكامل لجميع نواحي الحياة، والمخلص للبشرية من أدرانها، على حد زعمهم! ويمكن لنا تخيل مدى حجم الدمار والخراب الذي تسببه الأعمال الإرهابية مهما كانت درجة فشلها، ونظراً للتطور التقني الهائل الذي يقدم خدمات إيجابية هائلة للبشرية ظهر على الجانب الآخر من سخر تلك التقنيات الإلكترونية في إرتكاب جرائم وحشية مدمرة لم يكن يعرفها بنو البشر، وذلك من خلال ضغطة زرٍّ على الحاسب المربوط بالشبكة الإلكترونية.

Terrorism constitutes a dangerous criminal phenomenon, and it can even be said that it is the destructive scourge of the age in every sense of the word, because it aims to attack all human societies, and this danger is clearly evident through the destructive thought embraced by terrorists. They believe that their thought is the right one and the rest of the human thoughts are misguided, and therefore they work day and night to get rid of everything that contradicts their thought, even if this requires the destruction of human civilization through brutal criminal acts; The important thing is to spread their thought and establish their integrated system for all aspects of life, which saves humanity from its filth, as they claim! We can imagine the extent of the destruction and devastation caused by terrorist acts, regardless of the degree of their failure, and given the tremendous technical development that provides tremendous positive services to humanity, it appeared on the other side of the mockery of these electronic technologies in committing brutal, devastating crimes that were not known to human beings, through the pressure of button on the networked computer.
